Sincerest apologies for starting a "what tyres" thread.

But seriously what tyres for a clydesdale rather than a racing snake…..

stu, geax sugguaro have served me well in the past on longer days and offroad week tours.
they roll nice and fast, and are a fair size air chamber.

will run tubeless schwalbes, prob rocket ron's. The geax saguaro is what i used last year with a high roller front and it was o.k., although prob a bit heavy. The geax does roll well though. one thing to remember about the Kielder is that at no point do you ride anything which is technical. The course does have its bits where you go down some rocky singletrack but its all east enough to ride with no jumps or drops. Tyre choice, i will run prob a 2.1 light fast tyre with minimal grip, like the rocket rons.

Michelin all terrain dry2's tubeless, virtual slick, should help a bit on my SS

    Yes, it is too early.

(I did it on Mountain King 2.2s last year. I was last.)

To those that have done it before, what sort of profile is the course do you have a rough idea of total climb for the day?

heard a few figures last time, anything up to 15,000ft – sounded about right tbh.

Ordered up suguaro to try it out on the back, cheap enough in wired form – did you guys run tubless?
