Sell the 150, buy the 100. s/h prices are pretty good so you wont take a hugh hit if you get a fairly good deal on your 150. or do a swap?

I’ve thought of two options – firstly get a mate with a lathe or similar to re-groove another location for the snapring in the main post (at the bottom). Pacing the snapring lower means the whole post will sit lower.

Or, put some sort of spacer under the main piston/seal head to limit upward extension. I’ve not got very far into figuring this one out yet!

Really its a simple – if not aesthetically nice- solution that is easily removed for re sell
Sure you could engineer a neater looking solution

you should be able to get a nylon spacer made up to limit the travel internally. Have had this done to limit the travel on hydraulic rams on boats before. Check for a hydraulics specialist near you and ask.
