  • Is it just me or are the Ashima adapter bolts far too short?

I could be being dumb here ( it has been known) but am fitting a 180 front disk and have bought a 180 pm to pm adapter to fit the avid juicy 7 caliper but either the bolts supplied are far too short or I’m doing something wrong.
Anyone else had a similar problem?

Avids require longer bolts for their spherical washers.

Maybe its me being dumb, but my Ashima caliper which came today (PM to PM for 180 shimano) Had no threads to put a bolt into. WTF ?

Assuming you’re not taking the pee scruff, the bolt goes through the caliper and screws into the adaptor.

i.e. its not meant to have threads.

Does it? Hmm, novel approach. I’ll go see.

Not really, they’re all like it, irrespective of brand and PM or IS.

Duh, I feel stupid now. I took off a 203 which had bolts through caliper into adapter, then adapter into fork. Just fitted 180. Ta Science.
