Check the loom wires at the door hinge connection, my VW Golf’s drivers windows (& door sensors) wiring seemingly fell apart there, easy to check and repair!

Door lock not working is a fail, had to replace two rear door locks on my Octavia, but a window doesn’t matter. Car has to be accessible in event of an accident.

Passenger door window on my A3 is wedged shut with a piece of wood inside the door. Been like that for four years. I’ve got the bits to fix it properly but never quite got around to it.

My previous car the drivers window was wedged shut like that for the last 6 or 7 years I owned it (broken plastic clips you couldn’t buy without buying a whole winder mechanism)
