Got one scheduled for Monday, the nurse made comment about the injection 'not being nice' wondering on what scale that it is 'not nice'

Should I be loading up on ibuprofin beforehand?!

never had one, but work in an x-ray dept and I believe it is more uncomfortable than painful. IIRC, but I'll check and try and get back to you, you are aware of the contast medium as it's slightly warm, but pain is not a big feature.

ok, so, yes, it can be painful as the injection is into the joint – didn't realise that. The MR people say that some people just shrug it off, others are in some distress, so it depends on you and your tolerance of pain and the person who gives you the injection. Sorry I can't be more reassuring.

BBSB – thanks for checking for me, I think I might take a few precautionary pain killers then just to makes sure. I'm a real wimp when it comes to injections!

I can confirm the injections bloody hurt but are over really really quickly…(just in case someone else is having one)
