For me it's an Ibis Tranny.
I just love the look of it.

I got tracking details for mine today.
Not too special or expensive it is likely to get used a lot when once I have built it. Still completely irrational and quite one speeded too. Probably just keen because I like niche stuff.
I'd like to get one of these frames and build it up as light as possible. Don't know why:

and after the 'what is the best 120mm full sus' thread earlier, I would like one of these too:

Don't need 'em. Would just like them. Also some kind of fancy road bike would be nice.
I keep seeing very nice carbon road bikes around the area and in some of the "forbidden" shops (i.e. LBS) and I _want_ one. I can never bring myself to get one though, simply because my Raleigh Pursuit still works, and I have a morbid dislike of having two of something for the same task (apart from with sporks... you can never have too many sporks).
Also, given that I live in Cambridgeshire, a full sus would be pointless. I would still like a carbon Stumpy though.
Fat(bike) chopper pub bike

Cube Hanzz. No need for a bigger bike than the Norco I already have, but it just looks the dogs bollocks.
S-Works McLaren Venge:
This isn't irrational but I'd love a Yeti Carbon SB-66 with some Bos Deville forks, XTR trail brakes, SRAM X0 drivetrain, Reverb, blingin wheels, Easton Carbon finishing kit. You get the idea
For some reason I'd love one of these, but I don't and have never ridden a DH bike in my life, just have a hankering for one.
^^^^ That Cube has just been added to my list. It looks very nice.
Not sure it's gnar enough for Thetford though, to be honest.
This please

Or one of these :
Dark Cycles Supernova, love the clear coat version and all seems cheapish until you factor in shipping and the dreaded vat on delivery? http://www.darkcycles.com/
Most of these are pretty rational frankly!
Most of these are pretty rational frankly!
It's not your call though! rationality (or irrationality) is in the eye of the beholder and can take on many guises...
One of these, the bike, not the lady or kids!
Considering that I haven't yet finished building my current DH bike it's ridiculous that I'd swap it in an instant for a square Turner DHR, especially since I've never ridden one. But they just look so cool
Also, I've ridden Alpine 160s often enough to know that they do the exact same job as my Hemlock, but in a way that I like less... but I still wants one.

no idea why I want it as I'm never going to race 4X but its burning a whole in my head at the moment
only irratinal because I have a fully functioning hardtail and a roadbike i commute on but i am fancying one of these for commuting and the latter to swap my mtb bits over too.

For the lad;
For me;

Actually, anything by Vanilla
If I could buy skillz, that would be mine.

Crossbike. For doing a 50/50 offroad/onroad commute. Probably, irrationally...

Lightweight full suss:

replacement for my ol' 575

That'll do for today's fantasising
Most of these are pretty rational frankly!
The bike might be rational but me buying it wouldn't be. It's irrational to buy a £5k streamlined, top of the range road bike when you ride to work on your £1500 one once or twice a week in the summer and do the occasional sunny sportive.
