my daughter bought an iPod touch Christmas 2008 due to a cracked screen we bought a brand new replacement iPod touch(same model) at a reduced price Christmas 2010 off Apple its just stopped working so she took it to the Apple shop in Glasgow who told her its out of warranty yet all Apple products come with a 12 month warranty i feel they have palmed her off as she is only 13 y/o any advise would be greatly received

I’m pretty certain all electrical goods have a 12 month warranty. Take it back with the original sales receipt and demand they fix it or replace it.

Check here with the serial number: https://selfsolve.apple.com/agreementWarrantyDynamic.do

It will have date of purchase and warranty expire dates – and if they’re wrong, a link to send them info (like proof of purchase) to get them update.
