    Anyone use or recommend an app for scanning documents. Need to have a clear out at home but need to retain info so the easiest option is to scan and save. What do you use?

    why does it need to be a pdf ?

    i just iphone photograph docs and to my computer – rename and file

    ive send important docs to solicitors etc this way , who has a scanner at home thesedays – its not the 90s anymore.

    If the OCR works properly and its a simple black and white doc, a PDF will generally be smaller in size than a decent res photo. Also you can search a PDF or set of them with the right software.

    Lots of ifs and buts though – I’d just photgraph them

    I need to scan in my expense receipts. Genius Scan works very well:

    I was going to suggest Genius Scan, seems to work pretty well when I’ve used it. A .pdf file is a fraction of the size of a .jpg.
    And can be edited with the right ‘ware.
