  • iPhone – adding notifications & calendar to lock screen?

I’ve just got my first Apple product, an iPhone 6.

So far it’s good, but I’m missing some stuff from my previous windows phone.

How do I add the calendar to the lock screen, so that when I switch the phone on I can see calendar entries for the day, plus any newly received texts/emails?

Swipe down from top of the screen.

That’s a right pain though, it’s bad enough having to click the ‘on’ button

Surely there must be some way?

Go into Settings > Notification Center and then scroll to the app you want. Select notification type, then scroll down and switch on ‘show in lock screen’. For specific calendar events, you’ll need to set up the notification when you create the event; however all events will show up in the ‘swipe down’ screen. If that simple task is a pain in the arse, maybe employ a butler to do it for you.

Maybe these things were just easier on a windows phone…

Maybe iPhone users don’t need to have every tiny piece of info displayed all the time.
    I know I dont.
