You need an app for that (possibly). Have you enabled disc usage in iTunes for the phone? This is on the summary page in iTunes.

Does it have iOS7? A new feature is that you have accept a pop up on the phone that says you trust the computer.

Are you running any virtualisation software? After upgrading VirtualBox recently it now grabs my iPhone if VB is running. Phone won’t even charge. I haven’t had the time yet to work out how to stop it as it’s just on my work PC (Win7).

Sign up for dropbox on the iphone and PC!
    Its great.
If you use this link then I get extra space : https://db.tt/Nyyb75g

But I would recommend it even if there was no benefit to me.

    No virtual stuff on

I’m accepting the trust computer thing

Don’t get me started on frocking iTunes, long time iPod user but every vrsion gets crapper and crapper lately -it seems you are locked into synching with the phone?

This is nothing to do with iTunes. Windows should just see you phone as a drive in windows explorer. Is the drive not there or can you see the phone but not the files?

Better than fixing this though is to set up iCloud on you PC. That way you phone pics just get automatically synced to a folder in windows with no need to lift a finger.
