Can anyone recommend a nice iPad mini car mount to allow the little ones in the back to watch stuff on long journeys? Would prefer it to be fairly central so there are no arguments and crook necks!

We use a Brodit one with our mini 2 but it fits to the headrest on one seat.

Little one loves it. Saves a load of headaches when travelling hours to see family.

However the holder may be used to rig something up. Saved £100’s compared to the BMW prices.

The headrest clamp is available separately and comes in different sizes to accommodate different headrests. It clamps on using allen bolts and has been rock solid. i’ve used some insulating tape around the chrome headrest posts just to offer some protection and friction so I don’t need to crank the clamp up super tight.

Once fitted I have never removed it. But have had to tighten the holder to the bracket bolt once or twice. But no way was it an issue.

    Make your own.
Bit of aluminium angle and a couple of cable ties.
I used a bit of acrylic from work bent to hold the iPad but you could use a cheap off the shelf case.

I bought one of THESE (ebay link)so my boys can both watch a film at the same time. It can be mounted/unmounted very quickly and seems to be very secure so far.

I second the eBay thingy, we’ve had one for a few years now and it’s brilliant.
