It was fine when I put it in the bag. It is now turned off and pressing the buttons won’t turn it on

It’s the FBI. They are still trying to get into that one iPhone and have stumbled across a magic Apple back door. You’re doomed 😆

    battery or thermal cut off?

Plug it in to let it charge.

Also try holding the home and lock buttons together for a few seconds (maybe 20 – can’t remember) and it’ll reboot; hopefully.

This worked. the ipad was 80% charged when I put it in the bag so I was fairly sure it wasn’t a flat battery
