Hello, just took delivery of a new frame for the mrs, no headset. Integrated, I have no idea where to start (I’m still on 1 1/8 normal for all my bikes!)

It says: “1-1/8″ threadless, Campy style full cartridge bearings”

You need to do some measuring.

That should be the one. I’ve just bought a new frame with an integrated headset – bought the same headset from CRC. Seems very good. The Park tools site has a good summary on headset standards. I think it is the 45º angle on the headtube that makes it a campy type.

The one you linked to above is Campagnolo 46mm dia 45/45. Campy spec is 41.8mm dia 45/45. They are not interchangeable, maybe you need to get measuring. Campy headsets are generally associated with BMX or jump bikes so you often find tham in dealers BMX sections.

BTW you don’t need any sort of press for these, they just drop in. 🙂

+1 nigelb001. Measure the outside diameter of the headtube.

If it’s 46mm then the one you linked to is fine.

If it’s 41.8mm then the one nigel linked to is the one you need.

The 45deg is the angle and is the same for both these headsets.

The Campagnolo headset you linked to is common on road bikes. Neither require presses to fit – they just push in.
