    anyone got any experience, not the usual chavy body kit and big alloy wheels.

    A proper FWD raly car with number plates. Only untouched bits are the roof and the crank case as far as i can tell!

    Adrian S Flux used to be pretty good for Cal-look big engined Beetle and Beach Buggy, don’t know if they are still around though.

    Make sure you get agreed value though.

    Told my insurance co about the 130 – 227 bhp hybrid turbo, remap, big intercooler, huge brakes, alloys, bodykit & suspension mods & they said as I’m over 40, it makes no difference to the premium! but they’ll only pay out book price for it – if I want them to pay out more I’d need an engineers report & agree a value, premium would rise by about 20%.

    I remember hazy summer days back in ~92 blasting down the back roads of cheshire in a “slightly” modified MG Metro Turbo…

    We thought we were the dobs bollocks…. I wonder how it would cost to buy one now.
