Thinking of heading to the Quantocks next week for a few days. Anyone got any exciting tips for places to stay, visit and/or ride?

    Thanks and advance,

    Ben.

If you go a bit further to Dunster you can do Horner Woods from there to Dunkery Beacon, mega climb, awesome views across to Wales and mad fast descent. Stunning part of Exmoor, cycle there regularly but you need lungs the size of an ox. Watch out for wet rocks, wet crossings, wet peat, wet moss, wet rain and you’ll still need to gulp a fair few litres of yr own water. Exhilirating.

    Here’re route maps

Best thing about the Quantocks is no need for a map. Ride the length of the ridge, drop down a combe, ride back up, and repeat until you’re knackered. Can’t get lost. Brill

^. everthing about exmoor is uphill, even the descents, and you have to drive past the quantocks to go there. fail!

Sorry sambuka have no GPS, and I’ll back down and say Horner/ Dunkery is probably nowhere as good as the Quantocks 😉
