I had a great year riding last year, in particular getting to grips wth some of the calderddale trails I had not been able to find previously. I also had a great ride over the weekend at Rivington , exploring trails I wasn't aware of until recently (until I think I saw a video of the San Marino descent on here.)
And this got me thinking about planning my riding for next year. I'd really like to do some more exploring, of the places which perhaps aren't the most obvious destination but have some hidden gems tucked away
Doeas anyone have suggestions to offer? I live in Leeds and anything within relatively easy reach (up to 1 hrish) would be of most interest.
For what its worth I know the central Peak very well, all the stuff round West Yorks from Bingley over to Leeds area very well , Western Calderdale and Calderdale NYM pretty well.Know the dales OK, but I have never really found it that exciting. I much prefer the winch up / technical plumet down type of riding like you can find in Calderdale, the Peak and the Lakes.
