Our son will be 4 at the end of July. He's never been a good sleeper possibly down to various reasons. He goes to sleep without any problems, he just wakes up too god damn early! He's normally up anywhere between 5 and 5.30am and then that's it - he'll play in his room once he's been told to go back to bed but we're awake then and just lay there listening to him being a noisy buggar. By 6pm it's a battle to keep him awake as he's knackered from the early start. Everyone says starting school wI'll sort him out, just praying it does. I'm pretty good with early starts but the missus is reaching breaking point

Our youngest (14 months) sleeps til around 7, our olders (8) is like a teenager...you have to kick him out of his bed.
I get up around half 5 anyway...

Our oldest daughter was always an early riser - we had 18 months of 5 am wakings, and then it started creeping into the 4's, and we had a new baby in the house, so something had to change.
In the end we went for the dual tactics of a stair gate on her room (she was 2 ish and still in nappies) and a bunny clock, where the ears pop up and the eyes open when the alarm goes off.
This pretty much solved things, although the fact that I'm typing this at 7am on a Saturday is an indication that they are both still not ones for a lie in.....

5 and 3 year olds. The oldest wanted to get up about 5:30 this morning, but she went back to bed for an hour before getting up and waking her little brother. Since she was a baby she's always fought sleep desperately, and while her brother doesn't have the same issue, she manages to ensure his day is nearly as long as hers.
The big trouble lies at the other end of the day- given half a chance they'll still be up at 8, and will talk or read books in bed until they drop.

It gets easier as they get older - my two (14 and 18) will sleep on well into the afternoon if allowed.

M6TTF - Same as our 3 year old. She's in bed at 7pm and gone by 7.15pm. Up every morning at 5.20 on the dot. That's on 5 days of nursery/playschool too. To be honest though, I just get up with her and have a book or 2 before going to work - quite like it really!

Our 14 month old was up t 0500 this morning.
She's cutting teeth at the moment. Normally she'll go through to about 0700.
Fingers crossed this early start activity is just a flash in the pan.

Got the bunny clock , made no difference lol. He'll stay in his room - he jet makes too much noise role playing 'ben10' or 'fireman sam' I'm hoping he's a frustrated genius! I wanted another rugrat but wifes said no chance whilst he's like this!

Our little man goes down easily at about 7ish, gets a feed at 11, but wakes at 4 (goes back easily), then about 0530 (doesn't go back easily - has to come into our bed!)
He's 4 months!

Bed at 7.30ish, gets up 7.30ish (20 months old). Had a few patches of bad sleep in the early days but now good as gold.
Wife's cousin didn't sleep a night though until she was 2 - yikes!

My 17 month old son, goes down at about 7, he used to go through till about 6:30 untill 12 months, but now wakes up at 5:15 on the dot every day. We bring him into our bed, but its pointless really as he moans and whinges, and dosent sleep.
Im usually downstairs with him at 5:45 everyday!
