  • Inner chainring bolt length – Middleburn chainring onto XT chainset

    Hi
    Just bought a Middleburn inner ring to fit my XT chainset. Even with the chainring bolts ‘tight’ the chainring has loads of play. Are the Middleburn cogs machined with deeper bolt recess? Do I need shorter chainring bolts. Do such things exist?

    You want the shorter singlespeed chain ring bolts. 6.5mm compared to 10mm. ID do some which you can get for about £6 off ebay.
