a broken jockey wheel combined with been a spanner has broken my beloved one one 456, the rear mech hanger has bent quite considerably with the axle hole been all egg shaped now and the hanger been closer to my spokes than been straight.

Whats the best way to try and bend it back straight, heat it up and bend or hit it with a hammer.

I really don’t what to send her to the big bike heaven even if she does way a ton and hates going up hill.

    Cheers

    No need for heat.

    Adjustable spanner is good.

this happened to mine thanks to thick clay mud bunging the rear mech into the wheel.
I took it to local shop (who used to be frame builder) and they just bent it back for me. been fine since and shifts fine too.
