Unintended consequences re the Nrwbury Bypass I reckon. Now that there’s a big new road there, it means you can use it to link up with the M4. That traffic would nit have gone that way otherwise. So the new road drew in loads of new traffic. town centre is still a massive bottleneck though, it would need a bypass east-west too.
