As above really, im trying to use some old forks which were cut short years ago. Its an 1″1/8 steerer but seems too short, only one bolt of the stem clamps on it.
Is there a low stack headset that would fit or any botch options i could use to gain some length (ooh err)

    Any help would good.

if it’s just for round town one of those BBB steerer extenders would probably be ok?

the forks i have are a set of fox rlc fits. I was hoping for some semi off road ACTION. They are mint and need using but came off a superlight where the head tube is short.

Other than a BBB Steerer Tube Extender, crank brothers do directsets (they might have stopped making them now) that have one of the lowest stack heights available. The trouble is that they use ball bearings in a cage, and their reliability is pretty awful like most cb stuff with bearings. As for the extender, I don’t know how much off road radness it would put up with.

You might be better off selling the forks and buying a set with a longer steerer.

What stack height is your current stem?

I met that problem too. I got a crank brother headset, I gained the mm I needed when compared to my CK headset

As above: low stack headset and perhaps an older style Truvativ XR stem with single bolt clamp did the trick for me in the past on rigid ss mtb!

I think M:Part do a low stack headset too.

And the old style Spank Spike stem is only 26mm stack height.
