What, as in limit yourself to just one bike
Not me! Variety is the spice of life...

I'm not a "route" kinda person. Just get something you like that suits what you like to ride.

If I had no bike at the moment, I'd certainly be test riding a 29er and comparing times and fun factor with a similar 26er before buying something.

Too big for me. 26" wheel is better.

Id look at them first for almost all kinds of riding except dh - lack of tire choice !
But i wouldnt rule out 29ers but after having had 2 29ers ibpve been disapointed wi my 26ers since !

If I could get the verity of 26" wheeled bikes with 29er wheels at the cost of a 26er bike I would only own 29ers.

If I grow a bit taller I will buy a 29er.. but I think I stopped growing about 35 years ago
gets coat and heads back to the shires.

Have four 26s at present.
Lack of compatibility of various components is one issue putting me off.
If I were starting from scrtch I would try a 29er, just to see if i liked it. I don't want a mix, the MTB/road mixtyre is enough to contend withPosted 4 months ago # -
That would depend on how switched on the place I bought the bike from were to the whole 29er thing.
A lot of lbs's are only just getting them in and talking to customers about them.
It's unlikely people would discover places like this prior to buying a bike. Most are guided by shops & friends for advice so that would be a contributing factor.
