dont know? cadel evans or Bertie would be my punt. It would be a good all rounder – can climb but also do a reasonable/exceptional TT – cav would not get many stage wins. It would be impossible to do as you can draft someone faster than you yet they cannot drop you

While pro ‘strong men’ like thor or cancellara would be fine for the first two weeks, ultimately it’d be ultra endurance specialists (like the guys that do RAAM solo) you’ve never heard of that’d win it.

this would be a solo ride and he is quite good at solo riding and the mountains so it is hardly a daft shout – yes in a full normal TdF expecting Wiggo to win would be daft but this is solo so i think he would GQ in this sort of race and therefore he is not a bad shout.
