I have an Orange Five 2012 with some very thin rims on them, not sure Mavic 712 Disc’s or something like that. I need something more wider for my fat tyres, as most of them are 2.35 or bigger. Will I die if I use my old Mavic D521 SUPs. I used these with V-brakes on my old bike, but they still feel bomb proof.
What do you recon, worth changing the rims over?

I still use DH521’s and they’ve never let me down. Spokes have broken but the rims have stayed true.

laced loads of wheels on them
still got a couple somewhere waiting for the right build
pretty much the golden age of mavic in terms of quality/price/durability IMHO
