Deore triple M590. Buying to put cranks on one bike and the BB on another.

Driveside crank arm’s gonna come off no problem, yes chef?

Off what? If it is a new chainset then the drive and non-drive arms won’t be joined together anyway.

The BB, RH crank and rings, and LH crank will all arrive as separate items. If you’re taking apart a hollowtech II arrangement, then it should come apart with a bit of gentle persuasion – release/remove the bolts holding on the crank and the little screw-in lockring that sits inside the hole. You can then tap out the other side.

No, drive side crank arm is connected to the centre shaft (this won’t come off, if it does you are in trouble).

none drive side is removable so you can fit them to the bike without the help of David Blane 😀

BB will be in a separate packet with the cranks providing you get 9 speed not 10 speed (10 speed often has no BB included).

Just replacing crank arms on the SS so I’ll stick the bb on the shop/pub bike which needs one and keep the rings for shruikens.

    Any better ideas?

I’ll buy those magnesium Deity pedals with the savings. *justified*

    Thankyou.

Edit: Exploded diagrams are helpful art. What does that bit do?

Only if it is OE kit. All boxed MTB chainsets should include a BB.

CRC says BB is in the box.

    🙄 Fingers crossed.
