I was cleaning up around our shed over the weekend and found a strange metal pipe sticking out of the ground. I’ve no idea what it’s for and appears to be rock solid – I couldn’t move it at all, so I’m guessing quite well buried.

I’ve only recently moved in and the neighbours have no ideas what it might be for. Any ideas?

    😆

Maybe the mouthpiece is the house; brings a whole new meaning to ambience.

Anyhow, has your house always been a house or was it once a commercial property?

I’m no expert, but I fear your pipe isn’t straight.

Cast iron down pipe from guttering. Probably worth something to the right buyer.

That’s a pretty decent looking Belfast sink, too, very popular these days.
