  • Ideas for commuting bike frame and fork?

    Hi

I will be moving house soon and I could do with a different bike for the longer commute (currently riding a bmx cruiser to work).

I'm thinking about building up a hardtail mtb frame (26") with rigid forks and singlespeed. I will be putting half decent stuff on it. Thinking hope singlespeed rear hub, xt brakes and some saint cranks (have a spare pair from the old bike) etc.

Has anyone got any suggestions for the frame? Looked at On-one inbred sliding dropout frame. What about the forks? The on-one carbon forks are a bit too much for a commuting bike. Dont really want to spend more than 200 on the frame.

    cheers

    J
