It’s quite shocking (not literally, I’m more composed than that)to actually have the calories there on the menu..
Burger, fries, onion rings – about 1400 calories
Pint of strongie – about 200
Chocolate pudding and icecream – 850

Only cost about £9 all in!

You can see why making a habit of that could pile on the pounds…

Eating in Wetherspoons? Come on, man, you can surely find somewhere (anywhere?) better than that.

that is a sad sad thing to hear someone say.. even the career drunks and aforementioned freaks screw up their faces in disgust a little bit when someone mentions eating at Weatherspoons..

The wetherspoons where I live offers cheap real beer, and is cougartastic. What’s not to like?.

I agree about having standards, but just because he’s on the List of Registered Medical Practitioners doesn’t mean he has to willingly go near a golf clubhouse.

Asked for eggs benedict for breakfast in the Wetherspoons in Chester last year, couldn’t do it as the bloody egg poacher was broken.. my Mrs offered to show them how to poach an egg in a saucepan..

Having worked in a Wetherspoons “kitchen”, the only saucepan you’re likely to find is the one that has the peas in, kept hot in simmering water, for hours…

Their eggs Benedict is tasty.

My team at work have our monthly “Team Eating” in a Wetherspoons. Full English and a cup of fresh coffee for about four quid.

The bacon does taste a bit steaky though…don’t think they ever wash down the grill…

Weatherspoons kitchen staff don’t cook food, they just heat stuff up.

If your not bothered bout the provenance or the quality of what you eat then i guess they could be considered excellent value.

I’d say their burgers, although not up there with any of the ‘quality establishment’ type burgers, are on par or better than most of the fast food type joints you can get.
The chips are pretty good (hard to get wrong really), and booze is booze….

I think this was a Lloyds perhaps – basically across the street from the ‘scabby’ Weatherspons…
Same food, better atmosphere..
