Lots of creaking from the ibis these days and realised never had the bearing sorted so probably a good place to start. Anyone know what tools I’d need and how easy it is to do? Or know anyone who can replace them for me if it’s too big a job?

various sized sockets and a vice is all you need.

I’ve done mine a few times now with the above.

So does a vice kind of work as a bearing puller or do you just use socket set and hammer to get them out?

I use a socket set and vice when I do bearing changes… Use a socket the size of the bearing and use he vice to drive he bearing into a larger socket.

Although, if it’s been that long you may find it too difficult to drive the bearing through. Twice I’ve had to use a dremel to cut through the bearing race before it shifted. Not for the faint hearted.
