I've been good this year at pedalling to and from work, but often don't leave until after 8pm and it's starting to get dark in the woody bits already!
So I need a sub £100 (preferably sub £70) front light that I can use for a very dark 5 mile commute in the winter (sorry about that word in August!)
It needs to be reliable and have a good battery life. Not bothered too much about weight or whether the battery in small or in a water bottle type thing.
I'll use a head torch or Tesco torch on my helmet so this is a main beam sort of light.
I have no idea what to look at so suggestions please...
Ta!

Cheers, looks like the XLM one fits the bill...any downsides to just 1 LED?
And, if it's not used for a few days do the batteries hold their charge?

no down sides to one led its a good light and well suited to a commute
no the battery is lithium ion and while they do self discharge a little over time. not enough to worry you
