Crap story about the butter Cougar, I think you overexplained it a bit.

I’d like to check it’s verisimilitude.

    Restitution.

As in, I knew the word (to replace I was aware of) but when cycling along a hedgerow / wall after a sunny day, in the evening, you’re aware of the heat coming back out (like storage heater). Now off to check whether that’s actually true and its not clear – its a kinetic property but maybe not pure heat..

When I recently mentioned the real word GRUE

No-one’s ever seen a Grue. The infra-red goggles are a trap.

I was listening to a song about a bus crashing into a bridge this afternoon.
A bus has now crashed into a bridge.

I don’t know whether to call NASA or start a stage act.

Athlethism – just heard it in a radio report. Apparently it’s a high fashion word..means sports wear that’s glamorous…

Now then, where is the line on this? I always thought tracksuit wearing people where slated by some others in loftier positions?

    Obsequious

Got that one years ago playing a game on the Sega, Starflight, I think. It was used to describe a race aliens that would suck up to you and then **** you over a little later down the line.

Anyway, to me at least, obsequious is almost an onomatopoeia; the bodily contortions, sweaty hand clasping and facial expressions etc.
