    Android phone, correct details, remember me unticked, it just keeps saying wrong user name or password when I put the correct password in then fills in the space with a line of asterisks much longer than my password

    any clues? Help a poor befuddled old man please

    Is this the Google account for the phone? If so, go online to login and reset password.

    The phone screen lock, I’m not sure.

    It’s using a saved password from somewhere else, delete the saved password.
