i have arranged the field for camping through the local Scout camp and had it all confirmed. I just happened to ring the farmer who owns the field to see if we could borrow/buy some straw bales only to discover he knew nothing about 500 people camping in his field!

Fortunately I persuaded him to let us use his fields after all. Thank god!

That’ll teach you to get a boy Scout to organise things for you.

You do know the police will require passports and fingerprints for everyone attending a week in advance ? And you will have to pay for the surveillance cameras…

jon – I had use the boy scouts to explain to the police why I was googling ‘Scouting for Boys’

sfb – It is not the fingerprints but the cavity searches that are worrying me

Your mistake was forgetting to check that the boy scout had his “Farmer Liason” badge.
