What’s suitable to cut brake lines? The superstar components one is out of stock, and I don’t want to use a Stanley knife or similar as I want a clean cut.

    Thinking this might work wap.ebay.co.uk/Pages/ViewItem.aspx?emvAD=480×604&aid=350234604248&emvcc=0

Magura calipers come with a shaped spacer that holds the hose perfectly to get a straight cut with a new stanley knife blade. I’d ask your lbs if they have one.

official tool we had was just a stanley blade in a holder – which was fine for non braded

a fine hacksaw blade and a pair of shimano clamps holding the hose in the vice did a sterling job on braded hoses

Nothing wrong with a Stanley knife for normal plastic hoses. The clean cut is the responsibility of the user 🙂 I’ve got a Magura hose cutter but the business end is still a Stanley blade.
