I’m going to be fitting Clarks hoses to some M525s because the old hoses are getting scrappy. The Clarks hose, which is advertised as suitable for M525 brakes, already has a banjo fitting on each end which appears to be crimped in place – M525s don’t use banjos. Can the banjo fitting be removed, or should I cut ’em off and reuse the old fittings (olive and barb) on what’s left of the hose?

Anyone have experience with these hoses ( http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Models.aspx?ModelID=52552 )? Have I been lured into unnecessary hassle by silly colours?
