Hey guys, hope you can help me with choosing my first hybrid bike! 😀

Basically I’m looking fora MTB style Hybrid, I’m from an MTB background and prefer the geometry of the bikes that lean towards the MTB way 😉 I’ll be getting the bike via our Cycle Scheme at work which gives me around 29.4% discount (work for NHS).

Ok so I think I’m managed to narrow down my choices of bikes (searching for last 2 weeks) and now having a tough time deciding whether to get a Cannondale Bad Boy R SLX/Fatty R4 or Whyte R7 variant eg Portabello/Stirling

I’ve tried them all and they all ride great, the Whyte Stirling may be the best ride wise, but it is the most expensive, The Cannondales are stiffer but I like the robust feel and am having a hard time deciding what to go for.

I bought the r7 stirling, it was lighter faster and looked better than the badboy.

Just a suggestion but why not get a 29er and put slicks on it? Then you can mtb on it too if you fancy with just a swap of tyres.

Hybrids are the spawn of the devil. An mtb with slicks is as good as a hybrid on the road and it can still go off-road too.
