Gonna get my dad to buy this bargain hybrid: Rutland Saracen

If it was a mtb/roadbike, I’d know what size to get, but the sizes seem a bit confusing.

What size do you reckon would fit a 5’4 man?

Just checked the Saracen website. The geometry page gives no indication of standover. Plus it gives sizes as small, med. large, xlarge.

I would have thought a 14″.

It is also completely unassembled, OK if you’re handy with a spanner.

I’d normally say a 16 but it’s bizarre to see a hybrid in 14″so perhaps they come up large.

I was thinking 16″, but then I thought being 5’4 he would need the smallest size. Unless they’re aiming the 14″ at small woman (thou they also do a womens version).

Might have to call them…
