  • Hutchison Fusion road tyre – do they need 'wearing in'

Just had my first ride with a Hutchison Fusion 5 on the rear and the back wheel skidded about like crazy as soon as the road was wet. Anyone else use these tyres and find them slippy or does it just need a bit of breaking in?

Mrs Yak has fusion 3’s. Says they are fine. Are you running them tubeless? That probably helps as you can drop the pressure a bit.

They’re tubed (because I ordered the wrong ones). Already fairly low pressure. Will give them one more ride but like my collarbone too much to tolerate grip that bad.

And 5s are meant to be better than 3s too.
