I have spare wheels which I intend to carry to races with Muds (Beavers on). Thing is, they are heavy:

Race wheels = 1450g with quaxar rotors, ron/ralph tubeless
Mud / spare wheels = 2100g with XT rotors Beaver/Beaver …and the rear beaver won’t stay up tubeless so I need to slam a tube in.

So, if it rains and I need the Beavers, how much is this extra 2lb nearly going to hurt?

Things is, I’m doing rather well at the moment Rorschach, so a set of mud shod wheel already 2lbs overweight will have an impact.

Why didn’t I think of that. It means losing the tubeless jizz but that’s a lot less cheaper than the proper spare wheelset I probably should buy…

It makes sense, obviously last minute tubeless set up could be a faff but if they are only back up then tubes should be OK, also saves swapping cassette and aligning brakes for new wheels etc
