    Yer, that’s normal.
Part of it is down to the afterburn effect.
Have a read. Really interesting. Burning calories for free.

Thirst often masquerades as hunger. Get a few pints of water down your neck.

72 hours riding is some going, no wonder you’re hungry. That’s pretty much all protein, you need some carbs, porridge is about as filling as it gets.

Ignore it, drink water and black coffee and bank some decent weight loss!

Yup normal for a long rideout.

If its any help I’m still hungry on Tuesdays after killing it at the weekend. I find drinking lots of water and eating good quality pasta helps a great deal.
All you’ve done is deplete the protein store and the carbs have been munched too. All your body is doing is trying to replenish those stores that you’ve delved into.

Did you have a decent protein drink after each leg of your journey ( I doubt you did, beer probably 😆 ) I find that after a ride these days I need a protein drink to help recover, they’re not bad these days, bit expensive mind but then you have just completed a decent journey.

Don’t eat rubbish, try to steer clear of crisps n chocs.

Bask in the glory of a rumbling tum.

You could drink water and properly slake the appetite. OTOH, you might follow my post-ride example and demolish all the milk chocolate not eaten at Christmas. 😕

water water water. not just today but everyday. coffee is not water, fizzy pop is not water, even diluted cordial is not water. There is no substitute for water.

    water
    water
    water

even better ice cold water, with crushed ice now that does fill you up
