  • HTC Desire/Android & opening Office files?

    Got my HTC phone yesterday and getting the hang of it (slowly!) but can't seem to open Office files. It comes with QuickOffice but it's not opening Word files – admittedly they are older (2003) files.

    Any ideas? I really could do with this function! It reads pdfs fine and is otherwise very impressive.

    Oh and I'm trying to download them straight off Yahoo emails. Now downloaded three types of viewing software and one seems to be telling me it can't open HTML files… hmmm…

    Sorted it. I was trying to download direct from Yahoo – it was trying to download them as HTML files. Now set it up properly and it's fine! Great phone (got it yesterday)!

    Surf Mat – I had the HTML problem with Hotmail. Checking the menus, the email size was set to a limit of 5kb. Now I have set it to any size the full email comes through!

    I can't help with the Office thing though, mine opens 2007 and prior documents.
