I kept my phone in my breast pocket, in the firing line of sawdust.

The charging port got stuffed full of it. I tried to clean it out but somehow damaged the connections. I can’t charge it up.

The phone was due for replacement anyway so I wasn’t worried until I tried to transfer all my stored numbers over. All but 9 were stored in the phone, the rest to the SIM card.

With no charge in the battery I can’t transfer them to the smaller SIM card in my new phone.

Could anyone with an HTC Desire phone charge and return my battery?

Dave, that would be brillant, I could return it next day.

Is it not synced to Google?

I don’t think so, when I put my new google email details into the phone it retrieved all my Facebook friends but no phone numbers. I am utterly hopeless with technology.

Usually a mobile network shop will transfer them for you, if you’re a customer or with that network. Carphone Whorehouse & Vado have both done that for me in the past.

    Moses,

The Orange folk couldn’t or wouldn’t do anything.

I think I’m sorted with a battery now.
