As above really. We have a 5500 laserjet and it's going to cost £800 to put new ink in it, or £400 for 'recycled'.

Does anyone use the recycled stuff?

Think about changing your printer. Something from the OKI Executive Series range will be much cheaper to run. Typically you can get a fully inclusive maintenance contract on an A3 colour printer including all consumables for 6p per colour print. See colour4less.com for the range that we sell. Not sure where you are but there is a very good network of dealers around the UK that will offer these machines. If you want more details then email me via the site and I'll deal with it one Monday morning. Not trying to sell you anything, can just offer some advice.

    Cheers

at work we have some HP Lasers, on one occasion they bought some compatibles rather than HP cartridges. They were crap, went straight back to using genuine cartridges.

May have been a bad manufacturer, but it is a lot of money to pay for something that doesn't do the job.
