  • How to hide leads from a wall mounted slim TV?

We’re looking at hanging a slim wall mounted TV and I’d rather not have trunking hanging down the wall with the wires in.
What other ways could I hide them?
I’m thinking about an access plate at the bottom of the wall and another behind the TV, joined by some pretty large trunking chased into the wall so I can feed the cables up through it? Anyone done similar?

What I did was build an extension with the tv installation planned in advance and integrated into the stud wall.

Failing that you can cut a channel into the wall, route the cables in trunking and replaster.

Or… Make a feature of it. The other tv we have a nice chunk of wood that the TV is mounted on. The cables run up the back of the wood.

5th, can we get pics of the wood feature please?

Sounds ace but I’m not sure I know what it looks like.

    I have this problem too.

    No pressure then!

It was at it’s best in our old house. Not that I have a photo that shows the wood but it was across the corner:

Straight on to the wall in the new house:

    Ah I see, great idea.

    I’ll look into that then.
