its not that hard to be honest. it folllows the same physical/mental skills rules as everyother factor in mtbing but the physcological factors are greater.

the guy who built that in the video is the godfather of north shore

I don't get it either. However amazing it is, and skillful, and ballsy, I just don't understand the appeal of tightrope walking on 6 inch travel mountain bikes. Wide, fast twisty stuff, big jumps and drops, hell yes;- I don't pretend to be able to do any of it but I wish I could. I don't wish I could totter about, 8 ft up in the air, like some desperate pirate forced to cycle the plank.

If I do develop the desire to wobble about at half a mile an hour, knowing a fall will fracture my hip, I'll wait until I'm eighty then go for a walk.

jedi, i don't think i could ever do it.
lack of skill, lack of balance, top heavy………… 😆

and i like to look at the scenery when i ride, not my front tyre…. 8)

People like Dan and Tony are just selfish. They have no concern, what so ever, for normal folk who can't do the real scary shit and who are grumpy and jealous about it 😉 Tips cap at you sirs.

    depends.
norths hore constructions should be an option on a trail not THE trail.

missing the point of north shore somewhat

You could (hopefully) easily ride along a kerbstone and the baby shore I rode was about that wide, just a bit further to fall – once I got the 'you're not going to fall' thought into my head, guess what – I stopped falling, haven't done anything like the clips shown but do plan to have a more serious go sometime and see just how much/little bottle I've actually got………..
