Do you think you would get 5 bikes and camping gear(for 2 nights) into a transit SWB?

And ignoring the legality, do you think you’d squeeze another 2 people in the back there, I’m having a discussion about it with someone, i say no far too tight and even if you could it’s verging on the dangerous(and i say that as someone who has done loads of journey’s in the back of packed transits, never with bikes mind), they say yes.

    So what the consensus here?

Easily. Though it would be dodgy for the folks in the back.
Front wheels off bikes rack them all sideways and then stuff down the side and on top. Space for 2 folks in the remaining space.

15 bikes and 17 people in a lwb sprinter once. It wasn’t very comfortable.

Take the front wheels off and turn them upside down. You will fit a shops worth in there. As for the passegers, give them a fouton or sofa cusions to sit on, they may rattle about, but they will live if its not too long a drive. Not legal mind you, but that only matters if you get caught 🙂
