Off up to the lakes camping with the family at the weekend near Ullswater. I may have chance for a ride. Can anyone tell me approximately how long the following routes would take for a quick rider, solo, very little stopping? I think I have a reasonable idea but it'd be nice to corroborate the answers...
Route 1: Patterdale, Glenridding, Glenridding YHA, Zigzags to Whiteside, Helvellyn, Dollywaggon Pike, Grisedale, Patterdale (I reckon 3-3.5 hours)
Route 2: Patterdale, Glenridding, Glenridding YHA, Zigzags to Whiteside, Sticks Pass, Glenridding YHA, Glenridding, Patterdale (I reckon 1.75-2.25 hours)
ROute 3: Patterdale, Boredale Hause, Bannerdale, Sandwick, Ullswater Singletrack, Patterdale (I reckon 1.5-2 hours)
Also, which would you prefer out of options 2 and 3?
