I’ve got a pass for the 13th and am interested in this but can’t find much info on it.

    What’s it like?

    Great event.

    Good hot food available.
Stunning scenery, open exposed fell tops around 400m, huge River Wye valley.
Lots of friendly riders of all abilities tackling different distance options. Up front they are going fast of course, but lots of solo riders through the pack, and groups, out for a good ride.
Lots of climbing in each distance option, descending on mix of singletrack, double tracks, fireroads, grass, and some minor, some slightly bigger roads briefly.
Very well signed and supported with refreshment stops – help yourself to bags of salty crisps, custard creams, bananas, and water or energy drink.
Massively variable conditions – 2011 25degC and baked hard all round, superfast; 2013 5degC and torrential rain and heavy mud, superheavy.

    Recommended.
