    Say you bought some thing, got it home then discovered it was faulty so took it back to the shop. You’d get a replacement, right? I always thought that’s how it works and it’s always been the case for anything in the past. With no quibbles.

    Online is a bit different though. You are expected to wait until the thing is sent off to the manufacturer to be examined before you get a replacement. Might take a couple of weeks. That’s you out of pocket and out of thing.

    How does that work then?

    Never had that issue most times they’ve sent it out before I’ve returned the old item and the rest as soon as they received it. I’ve had shops delay while the ‘manufacturer’ inspected it. Never had an issue if getting a replacement or refund either way though.
