So Chrome defaults to the same pages for me (my choice) but I’m now finding I’m getting rather bored of t’web.

How do you find interesting thing to read, or is it really just boring and I should go back to do something else?

Stumbleupon used to be really good. I haven’t used it in a while though…

Just trying out flipboard on my tablet. Actually throws up some interesting stuff for a spare 20 mins. You just tell it your interests and add/remove stuff from your feed as you go along.

I have to say, I have this problem too. Chrome showing my most visited pages, and that’s where I end up, every single day. It drives me barmy sometimes. But it’s much easier to click it, than it is to think of something new.

Read Wikipedia articles on subjects that interest you. Well-written ones will have numerous links and references which will lead you to associated information and subjects.

I enjoy these sites for new food-for-thought:

    http://www.brainpickings.org

    openculture.com

    newsmap.jp (mostly mainstream news)

The internet is limited only by your imagination.

upworthy can be decent. Stumbleupon just seems like more of the same, you tell it what you want to see and soon everything is pretty dull and it’s only the random false positives that are interesting.

If in doubt, just pick reddit things at random.

TED is always good for interesting stuff too: http://www.ted.com/

Or go over to Khan Academy and teach yourself quantum physics (or 4th grade Mathematics): https://www.khanacademy.org

Try using a different search engine. DuckDuckGo for example.
